Re: Sound doesn't work with the new kernel



I am using the madwifi SVN with make and make install, I didn't know an existing package :-°

Interesting... Which madwifi package do you use & how do you use it? do you have to blackmail the ath5k kernel module?

(I'm having trouble with the broadcom/atheros wifi device of my new laptop ;-) )

   reinstall the kernel package
   depmod -A
   lilo
   reboot

   Did the module load with the new kernel?  The new kernels seem to be    getting very skimpy on loading an overabundance of modules like it use    to do.  Try a "lsmod" to check?
